Educational Event – “Mycorrhizal fungi: What are They and How are they Participating in the Health of Plants”

Dr. Lisa Morano, Professor of Biology and Microbiology at the University of Houston-Downtown and the Director of the UHD Center for Urban Agriculture and Sustainability will speak on mycorrhizal fungi: what are they and how are they participating in the health of plants.  Dr. Morano’s research focuses on the bacteria found inside plants including plant pathogens and the friendly non-pathogenic inhabitants called endophytes.

This event is open to the public at no charge.
