Perennials are plants that return to our gardens each year from the same root parts. They usually disappear for a period of time then return, hopefully bigger and better! Some are native while others are time tested introduced choices for our sometimes challenging growing conditions. We will observe using perennials in our sunny or shady landscapes as masses, borders, specimens, and containers. We will also address when to dive them or otherwise increase their numbers in our gardens. Water, soil and sun requirements will also be discussed. Included among the recommended plants are some of the most beautiful and interesting heirloom bulbs for our region. This program is open to the public at no charge.
